Invitational 2014 @ Delta Arts

This exhibition features 33 participating African American artists from across the state of North Carolina. This juried group show, featured a diverse array of works by established and emerging artists that included paintings, drawings, photography, fabric and mixed media works.
Previous Invitationals have focused on local artists but the Invitational 2014 is a state-wide show featuring the work of 33 artists with styles ranging from realism to abstraction. While some of the artists will be well known to local audiences, many will be showing at Delta for the first time. These artists include: Norton Barnhill, A. Yvette Brill, Akinyele Cameron-Kamau, N.G. Canty, Andrena Stoddard Coleman, Brandon Coley, Steven Cozart, Owens Daniels, Courtney DeBerry, Victoria Dinkins, Tunde Famous, Elisa Fox, Deborah Franklin, Joyce Fulton, David Gaines, William Gattis, Gemynii, Jerry Hanes, Jerilyn Harney-Baker, Vandorn Hinnant, Jasmine Huff, Quintin Neal, Michael Pendergrass, Michelle Davis Petelinz, Valerie Watkins Romo, Leo Rucker, Donald Sawyer, Chantel Setzer, William Paul Thomas, Janet Totten, Cornelia Matthews Webster, Antoine Williams, and Bryan Wilson.

Delta Arts Center is pleased to announce the Winner of the People’s Choice Award for Invitational 2014 @ Delta Arts, artist Donald Sawyer for his painting “Black Jesus.
